Poem of Spring,

I thought it would be fun to share another poem I've written during Springtime, the most enchanting time of year..Where the birds find thier way home again, and new life is budding on the trees.

I hope you like this chaming tale of, the bumble bee.

                         Busy Bee

I'm a dancing bumblebee
In pursuit of nectar

Well tendered gardens, meadows or even sweet tasting weeds along a busy street.

Though life flashes before me,
I will never forget nectars sweet embrace

The Heart of a Warrior

It has been quite some time since I've been drawn into the world of poety, and what a delightful world it is.

This is one of my very favorite pieces, birthed out of a desire to see integrity where so little often found in this self-absorbed society in which we live.

Let me know what you think,

The Heart Of A Warrior

They rush in like lightning
with each battle cry.

Men drenched with sweat, blood and tears.

Each swearing their allegiance to their king;
just wars or not.

Respect and honor hold them together,
with pistols in hand.

Often found dreaming of another place and time, 'waking up in a comfortable bed with faint giggles in the background, and busy wives in the kitchen.' Forgetting for just a moment a battle that rages on year after year. Now all that's left is dead bodies, a few broken warriors and the smell black powder.

For those who are left behind, know grace is rarely given from a kingdom they must defend until the bitter end; be it victory, death or betrayal.

Unless they be more noble than the rest
they will never find their way home
or be accepted by the throne.

For those are, indeed, the most blessed.

Will their ashes be scattered across a blood stained field?

Or

knighted by an emperor's crown.

Dedicated to all those who do what is right, no matter what the cost.

I'm Amazed!

I’m amazed how God loves me.
I’m amazed how He shows me His tender care.

I’m amazed how swiftly God comes to my aid when life seems unfair.
Giving me what I need, but not always what I desire.
I’m amazed how gently He wipes away all my tearsWhen my days and my nights are full of fears.
He’s even sends wiser ones then me to aid me when I'm unable to walk. Gives me wings so I may run this race.

I’m amazed how He puts up with all my failings.
 Ignoring my whaling and complaining.

I am even more amazed at those who refuse to perceive,
The goodness of our God in the land of the living.

Just for Today,

I find myself pondering the many blessings God brings my way.

Just for Today,

I am in awe how God has chosen to reveal Himself to me. Drawing me even deeper into a knowledge of Him.

Just for Today,

I realize, through the most troubling of times, God is near and is consistantly revealing His love for such a nobody like me.

Just for Today,

I am humbled at His longing just to be near.

Just for Today,

I am grateful that I can trust my loved ones into His tender care.

Just for Today,

I can look forward to a night in my beloved's embrace, after a rough day of many tough decisions amidst a few chuckles and some laughter.

Just for Today,

I've come to realize where the end of my rope begins and an end to life as I know it.

Just for Today,

I begin anew, with fresh promises and a love that's true.

Just for Today,

I know there's a God in Heaven, Who is leading me to a good land. One of His choosing and not of mine. If I will but trust and not doubt.

Just for Today,

I have peace in the moment for God is meeting my daily needs even though the world keeps pushing in and often threatening to discourage me.

Just for Today,

I let go of what I could never hold on to.

Just for Today,

I thank God for the power of forgiveness, for in 'It's' hands, I am free.
