Hope

For many of us struggle with this one concept, on the outside we look strong and brave but on the inside we are struggling, lacking the essential faith we need to become the strong vital Christians we long to be. We have big dreams, but that’s far as it gets, dreaming but never achieving.

Hope is not some illusive dream, but a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit and a tangible promise from God.  When we choose to rest in Him, He steps in and do we cannot do for ourselves. That doesn’t mean, He’ll do everything for us, no, quite the contrary.  As we remember what He has already done, meditate on His Word, get counsel when needed, and then act when it’s time to act, and then faith fills us to overflowing.  Fear and faith cannot co-exist.

I started this ministry to give intercessors a safe place to come to share not only our victories, but almost our weaknesses. Then as we grew, I felt the need to start this blog to reach out to a wider audience, those just like us. Who give of themselves every day to a hurting world, but finding little in return.  In fact, it’s expected of us, to be the gallant warriors, often at a moment's notice.

But, who do we turn to when we are at our weakest point? Who can we count on, on those days we can barely get out of bed; when we all alone and no one seems to understand?  That is when the Master is calling us to a deeper place in Him.

Before Jesus was getting ready to be crucified, He set out with three of His disciples. When they arrive at Gethsemane, Jesus told the three to stay, watch and pray so He may be alone to seek the face of the Father. But, if you remember correctly, it didn't take them long and they were all fast asleep; and as human beings, that is what we do, sleep when there’s work to be done. Either we are so overwhelmed with what God has called us to do, that we forget to have our 'brother's back'. In writing this, I'm just as guilty as the next. With all that’s on my plate, such as caring for mom, a sick husband, and now caring for my new grandson, I feel like I'm chasing my tail half the time. But as I press into God, I believe He’s telling me, these are the days, we must be more vigilant in our prayer life. As the days grow darker and more evil; as many of brethren have fallen prey to hopelessness, I believe God is calling us to a deeper walk with Him.
It has been written, that I wanted to have a place where I can share just a little bit about me and what's been going on in my life; but to be quite honest, it's not about me, it's about Him and about you.

From now on, I may continue to share some of my personal struggles, but it will not be our main focus, but on Christ and what He has not only done, but who He is.

If you have a praise, or a testimony of what God has done in your life, I encourage you to share it here..If you need prayer, than please feel free to share that here too..For we are all in this together!

But remember, when you are having a hard day, keep in mind what He has already done in the past to get you through tough situations. Secondly, begin to meditate upon His character. When we refocus our minds on what’s truly important, than the obstacles we face won’t seem so big.

3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, 8 which He lavished upon us. In all wisdom and insight 9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him 10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things upon the earth. n Him 11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.”  (Eph 1:3-14)

Always here for you,

Etta
