Psalm 8

As we continue on with our study of the Psalm, I challenge you to follow along to see what the Lord will do in and through this study

v1-5

"1 O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
   You have set your glory
   above the heavens.
2 From the lips of children and infants
   you have ordained praise[b]
because of your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
   the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings[c]
and crowned him with glory and honor. (NIV)

Thought for Today: Many of us are facing many challenges, be it health, or family, or even in our finances. Some maybe feeling that they cannot go on any longer unless God steps in and does a miracle. But God says, 'look to Me, and not on our circumstances, for I, even I work all things out for your good and for my glory. You live in a world of sin, so you will struggle against the foe and the avenger, especially those who are doing fiercely loyal.' "For they hated me, know this, they will hate you too." Take heart, you are not alone in this challenge called life, but know this, God's Word is true and promises to turn everything for our good and His glory. Praise be His Holy Name, praise Him, with all you have. Though you may feel like crawling up in a ball and closing out the world, praise Him, for He is worthy!!
