Signs of Christ Return

It is my usual rutine, to sink deeply into the precious Book of Psalms. Right about now, I would be studying Chapter 11-12, ( maybe more depending upon the theme). But, I have been so overcome with grief on what's been happening on the other side of the world. For many of you have heard about the devestating earthquate and tsunami in Asia and out lining areas. We have yet to know the amount of devestation or how far it will spread.

Then I was asked what I thought about 2012 prediction in light of these recent disasters. And here is what I basically said, 'that Jesus said, no man knows the day or the hour of His return, not even Him nor the angels in heaven.' (Matthew 24:36-37).
But, it got me to thinking, why are such god-fearing individuals being sucked into this? More importantly what does God say about this? “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you."For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places." (Matthew 24:3-7). (See also Mark 13:8-13)

So when will Jesus return?  He could return at any day...But, Luke 21 says in verse 20 <span> “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near."

If you were to put Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 together side by side, you will see the Bible clearly lays out a logical argument that we are in the last days, and but there is no mention of 2012 nor of any man being given a date.

More importantly, (are we looking to the skies, longing for the return of Jesus with power? Is the cry of our hearts: "Come, Lord Jesus!" or is it "Let's wrestle some more," or "Just let me indulge my flesh a little longer, then I'll repent." Will the events of the end of the age strike us with hope and joy, or dread?) Acts 17:11 Ministries.

Even more importantly, lets take time out of our day to pray for those who have suffered such loss, that His hand of judgment would be held off our world so His Word can be preached to every nation.
