Where Intercessor's Heart is going and our purpose.

Towards the end of last year, the Lord put on my heart to not only exhort a very neglected segement of the Body, but also learn from one another. And though it has taken many months to get us to this point, we are up and running.

There will be some who believe that Intercessor's Heart is just another prayer ministry, when it's not. We, as intercessor's/prayer warriors are called on day and night to pray for the hurting and needy, this ministry is for you when you need a place of refreshing, or want to just reflect upon what's written.

There is no requirements to be a part of this ministry, all I ask, is that if you are are called to a life of prayer and you feel weary, than please stick around for a while. This ministry was birthed out of my own trials and tribulations to serve others who find themselves also 'giving out of an empty cup.'. Beneath I will lay out a few guidelines of what our goals and purposes are, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

We are:

1) To exhort and to encourage one another. *(this is our primary goal)

2) Learn from one another. As the Lord reveals truth, it's important to share it so we all can be strengthened an encouraged.

3) Praying for one another and for those who are important to us.

4) Journey towards wholeness, so we are fully capable to reach out to a hurting and dying world.

5) Share our testimonies, for many here have a story to tell and many have yet to share their past out of fear or shame. But God wants you to know, that you have been forgiven, that you will never know what your story will do for someone else. For God's Word says, 'They overcame him, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimonies!' So, its time to come out of the closet and bring your story out into the light. *Those who commit to do this, pray that what is written will glorify God and not man."

We are not:

1) A prayer center, we have many prayer wonderful prayer ministries that God has called, but this ministry is to strengthen those WHO pray. Not that we do not pray for one another and for those who are important to us, but I do not believe the Lord wants us to be so over burdened with praying for others that we aren't getting the refreshing that we need.

2) Not one denomination, but several, for we are all ONE in Christ. I encourage Conservatives as well as Charimatics to find their home here. For God has called intercessors to Assemblies of God and to Conservative Baptists or Methodist.

3) Agenda driven.  We have no agendas, but have two different Bible studies going on at the same time, One; Making Disciples Series, to go back to basics. Many of us are facing persecution in one way or another, and I felt led to share what our Founding For-Fathers have gone through to bring us the Word of God. Making Disciples will be a once a week course until we complete the Book of Acts. Two: A walk through the Psalms the remainder of the time. I know of no more encouraging book than Psalm when I'm feeling low and down.

I pray that you will be blessed by this ministry, if you have any suggestions, please let me know. In the coming days, I will share the Preface and the Introduction to Intercessor's Heart,  I encourage you to, then let me know what you think..

Know that you are loved very very much,

Etta
